More ease, less effort
The Alexander Technique
Life is an ongoing process of learning. Each day asks something of us—often more than we realise—and we do our best to meet it, sometimes without full access to the resources that would truly support us.
The Alexander Technique offers a practical way to notice habits and patterns that interfere with how we move, think, and respond. Through gentle attention we learn to recognise—where and when, unnecessary tension and effort can arise. We are then able to orient ourselves towards choices that support balance, coordination, and clarity.
As awareness grows, stress—both mental and physical—becomes something we can meet rather than struggle against. Many people find that this leads to a quieter nervous system, greater ease in movement, and a renewed sense of vitality in everyday life.

“I cannot recommend Ruth highly enough, her teaching is clear and fun, and her huge positive energy may be catching."
-
"After a lesson I feel lighter and taller as if going skywards. The improvement in posture appears to be easing long term back pain and to have reduced the amount of sciatic pain I have had for several months.”

“Being new to the Alexander Work I at first could not understand how something so gentle and relaxing would actually work. I am very pleased to say, it does.”
