Corporate Training & DSE Assessments
As well as individual sessions I regularly run corporate workshops to promote overall health and well-being. Based on the main principles of the Alexander work it also incorporates many of the essential DSE guidelines.
The Health and Safety (Display Screen Equipment) Regulations 1992 apply to workers who use DSE daily, for an hour or more at a time. Prolonged use of computer workstations and display screen equipment can lead to neck, shoulder, back or arm pain, along with stress, fatigue and temporary eyestrain.
As a qualified DSE Assessor I am able to provide individual assessments, supply a full written report of the existing workstation and advise on recommendations. This helps both line managers and ‘end users’ identify any issues with current setups that may assist on a proactive basis with regards to Musculoskeletal Disorders (MSDs).

"The weekend with Ruth was fantastic. She is not only a highly knowledgeable and experienced teacher but also lives and embodies the principles she teaches. I would recommend this weekend workshop to anyone who wants to experience the mind-body relationship in a new way in order to lead a better life."

"Ruth is one of those rare people who embodies what they say, and is truly curious, open and caring. Thanks to Ruth I’m continually extending and deepening my distinctions and connections in experiencing in ways that are both practically beneficial i.e. helping with an old back problem, but also in the pleasures of being more present."
