Lush Cosmetics Manager’s Expo

Two weeks ago, I found myself on a thrilling journey, bound for Glasgow, where I'd be leading 11 workshops on the Alexander Technique. It was a mix of excitement and nerves as I embarked on this adventure, unsure of what awaited me but eager to share my passion with others.

The workshops were centered around a topic close to my heart: helping individuals find comfort during long periods of standing using the principles of the Alexander Technique. It's a subject that resonates with so many people, given the hustle and bustle of daily life, and I was determined to offer practical solutions and insights to make a difference.

Being hosted by the wonderful team at Lush Cosmetics added an extra layer of magic to the experience. Surrounded by the vibrant atmosphere of Glasgow and greeted by the warmth of over 300 attendees, I felt a sense of camaraderie and shared purpose that set the tone for the days ahead.

Each workshop became a unique exploration of mind-body awareness, posture refinement, and movement optimisation. Through interactive exercises and heartfelt discussions, we peeled back the layers of tension and stress, uncovering the innate ease and grace that resides within each of us.

What struck me most was the genuine curiosity and openness of the participants. They weren't just there to passively absorb information – they were actively engaged, asking questions, sharing stories, and embracing the opportunity for growth and self-discovery.

As I reflect on my time in Glasgow, I'm filled with gratitude for the connections made, the lessons learned, and the memories created. It was a reminder of the power of human connection and the transformative potential of stepping outside our comfort zones.

To all those who joined me on this journey, thank you for your enthusiasm, your openness, and your willingness to explore. And to anyone reading this, I encourage you to embrace your own adventures, to lean into the unknown, and to discover the magic that awaits when you dare to step out.
